Those of you who know me know that I have been a writer my entire life. Ever since I was in elementary school, I have had pen and paper in hand creating stories and imagining worlds to put to paper (mostly for my own amusement). My love of writing continued through high school and then into college ... where it promptly became less of a priority as life took hold and I tried my best to muddle through everything that was going on. Add to that the constant pressure of writing for my degree and by the time I was done with college, writing was the furthest thing from my mind.
As the years have progressed, the yearning to write never truly left me. It sat hidden, down in my own depths, carefully being guarded by the children within. They were holding onto it, waiting for the day my adult self would allow them to come forth and bring with them that gift of writing. As I have worked on healing myself, clearing out my own backyard and rediscovering the incredible soul that is housed within this body, those lovely inner children have allowed that yearning for writing to come forth in more than one way. One of the ways that surprised me the most was the discovery of my gift of Channeled Writing.
Channeled writing is a method of receiving information from the Divine. The writer is a conduit for Source, bringing information to people from their guides. Through channeled writing, we can receive answers to many of the questions we have in our lives. The book "A Course in Miracles" is an example of Channeled Writing.
I also realized I had the desire to start a blog, and even though the subject matter of spiritual insight and Channeled Writing seems as if it might be a natural choice, it has taken me a few months to actually decide on that path AND to sit down at the computer and actually start doing it!
My plans for this blog are to use it for Channeled Writing messages and for other spiritual topics or insights that come up in my life. I hope it will be a source of inspiration, humor and a new perspective for those who read it. I also realize that part of my hope for this is in getting back in touch with that true part of myself that has been hidden for so long ... for that I am thankful to the Universe (God, Source, etc.) and to all of you for sharing in this journey.
